You like classical dressage with a strong focus on basics, patience and horse-friendly solutions to overcome challenges in the training? You know that the basics is the key for advanced exercises? You want a horse in balance? Then you will like our cliniques with Gonzalo Díaz. He focuses on harmonious partnership between horse and rider and supports riders and horses from basic stage up to Grand Prix.Gonzalo was born into a family of horse-breeders and thus since childhood riding. Alvaro Domecq and Manuel Vidrié, the founders of the Real Escueal Andaluza de Arte Ecuestre (Royal Riding School Jerez) in Jerez, being the riders which after stages in Vienna brought again riding culture to Spain, asked Gonzalo due to his talent whether he would like to do his professional formation at the Real Escuela (at that time selection of only four riders out of 700 applicants was not seldom). After his professional formation Gonzalo was rider at the school and then returned to Madrid.
Gonzalo by himself has trained various horses up to Grand Prix Level. One of the horses trained by him (Aljarafe, with which he won the Championships of Andalucia) was sold to Beatriz Ferrer-Salat and participated in the Olympics at Sydney.
He is actively competing and also was for a couple of years the nominated trainer by the Spanish Riding Association for the juvenile riders in Madrid.
