Drencher Festival is an annual Heavy/Alt/Punk music festival held at the end of August at the Barwon Club Geelong. The aim of this festival is to bring together local, regional, city, and interstate bands from multiple heavy genre's that would never normally play together nor normally play Geelong. On top of this Drencher is not just a 'gig' but an event to be remembered.
Drencher Festival takes inspiration from Geelong's natural surrounding's by creating an all consuming decor layout of ocean and nautical themes. However there has been a need identified that will substantially improve Drencher Festival with the addition of greater visual effects for a more memorable, multi-sensory experience for attendees and to also make the existing venue un-recognizable from any other concert performed there.
