Dream Role is a hilarious, heartfelt, and dynamic journey about the roles we play and the stories we tell. It's about living in our purpose, forgiving our fuckups, and reclaiming the ability to write our own story.
Dream Role is a dynamic blend of intimate storytelling, character portrayals, and creatIVE expression from the life of Carmen Scott. The show features various personas, personal revelations, and reflections on inspiring teachers and historical figures like Florence Scovel Shinn and Belle Starr. Carmen shares her journey including her days as a party girl bartender to a car salesperson in Texas, detailing her relatable (and unrelatable) struggles and triumphs. This show is a heartfelt exploration of Carmen’s life, dreams, and the transformative power of theatre and creative expression. Hilarious, heartfelt, and a dynamic ride you don’t want to miss.
Carmen is an award-winning filmmaker, actress, writer, improviser, and coach. She Executive Produced and acted in the EMMY nominated series, Razor Tongue and associate produced the global hit documentary, 1946 the movie. She performs regularly with Snack Run improv and is often caught dancing spontaneously. She can be seen in commercials for Pie Five PIzza, Ally bank, & Northrup Grumman. She leads teams and organizations in the Art of Play, a unique experience that combines mindset/mindfulness with facilitated play.
