About this Event

Jennie Town is a multidisciplinary artist, mother, grandmother and Knowledge Keeper. Her maternal heritage is Mi’kmaq and Black, from the Shubenacadie and Bear River reserves in Nova Scotia. She currently resides in Tkaranto on the Dish With One Spoon Territory and has been a Guildwood community member for over 50 years. Her journey working with leather, basketry and beadwork has enabled her to reconnect with her ancestral roots. Jennie uses life experience, artwork, storytelling and mindfulness to provide therapeutic workshops and programming with intention.
