About this Event
In this workshop we'll start by seeing some artwork done with this amazing media, then I'll make a short explanation-demo on how to use the pencils depending on the type I know (watercolor, pastel, etc.), mixing different colors to get even more.
Have extra paper to try your pencils. After some 20-30 minutes, I'll be sharing some reference images to draw from. You can copy one of them as you see it or, you can instead make your own creation, even an abstraction based on one of these images on the screen.
If needed, I can also show tips on the image itself on the screen or on a piece of paper in my camera before starting to draw but, after this, you will be creating your own artwork. I don't do draw-along classes or step-by-step demos for you to mimic. It's not necessary that you need to know how to draw in this session. You can be a beginning student as well as intermediate.
If you have any question, you can unmute your microphone and ask me anything you want to know during the class; if I know the answer I will kindly say it; otherwise I'll look that up and tell you later. Join me in this new workshop so that you can draw and create freely with your colored pencils.
For this class you need to have some colored pencils, a couple of white sheets of drawing paper, A4 size will be OK, and much better if it's softly textured. In case you want to try adding some water, you will need to have some watercolour paper to work on. You might need to have an eraser and a sharpener. A hard surface (drawing board) might be of help.

This is not a demonstration class, and it’s not recorded previously. Classes' contents are never repeated neither are the images we draw from.
----------------------------------------------------
This is part of a series of drawing, sketching and painting classes especially for beginners and anyone who wants to learn different ways of drawing and painting, since there isn't only one way to do things in life. In each class we will also be experimenting with different media:(i.e. graphite, colored pencils , pastels, charcoal, ball and fountain pens, markers, watercolors, oils, acrylics, gouache-temperas, collage...).
The classes are live on Zoom, in English but some Spanish can be spoken too.
