Drawing is a foundation skill for almost all-natural history art, from a quick field sketch to the most detailed illustration.About the course:
This four-session studio-based course provides a comprehensive introduction to drawing with clear explanations of materials and techniques. Students will learn about perspective, line, value, mark making and shading and how to put these elements together in preliminary drawings. Using graphite, we will look at basic shapes in nature, shadows, perspective and more. If you have always wanted to draw and not had the chance, then this class is for you!
Drawing needs minimal materials, is the easiest medium to carry with you in the field and helps you to enjoy the natural environment by looking with a purpose.
