This workshop designed by Maureen O’Neill offers a variety of exercises to help participants connect to and engage with the present moment. Through guided mark making (drawing and painting), participants learn to use the drawn and brushed mark to shift focus to their touch and breath and to experience how a beautiful line, a soft mark, or a color can bring them into a meditative place that is both healing and creative. No art experience is necessary. This workshop encourages and supports the strength and wisdom of the intuitive spirit.Supplies are included.
About the artist
Maureen O’Neill is the director of exhibitions and educational programming for the Barton Art Galleries and assistant professor of art at Barton College in Wilson, NC. She developed this workshop while in residency at Ghost Ranch Retreat and Education Center in Abiquiu, NM. She lives in Tarboro, NC.
