Join Sam Marshall at Atelier Clos Mirabel for this week of experimentation in sketch and print, creating beautiful artworks inspired by your surroundings. During this week, you will discover the joys of keeping an observational sketchbook; using the contents as inspiration to create linocut and drypoint prints. The first part of the workshop will be spent sketching outside discovering inspiration in the surrounding landscape. You will experiment with different types of drawing materials — coloured pencils, brush pens, wax crayons — finding your own unique style of drawing and mark-making. In the studio you will transform these drawings into ideas for your linocut and drypoint print creations. By the end of the week, you will have a sketchbook bursting with drawings, a set of prints inspired by your observation, and the confidence to continue your work at home.Dates: from 4 April 2026 to 11 April 2026
