Join local artist Michael Sharp for Drawing for Beginners. Michael will start by teaching the basics and fundamentals in value and form. Students will learn the basic value scale and Michael will show how value is affected by form, value gradation, cast shadows, etc. He will go into basics in composition, perspective, and creating textures. *All students to bring 2 -3 personal objects to draw from. Working from live objects is fundamental in teaching students how the eyes naturally interpret form and depth, etc.
Michael Sharp has a BFA in drawing and painting. He worked as a drawing professor's assistant for two semesters while earning his BFA. After college he worked as a substitute teacher for middle school and high school, which included art classes along with other academic subjects. After moving to Los Angeles, he also taught some private adult art classes.
