About this Event
Did you know creating art is good for your mind and body? It can lower stress levels, help you process emotions, and bring you into the present moment.
This experience will be gently guided by a professional art therapist, who will offer supportive prompts as we explore shadow drawing — a calming and meditative practice that uses sunlight and the natural shapes of flowers and plants to inspire our lines.
You’ll grab some art supplies at Lurie Garden, then find a peaceful spot to observe how the light moves across the space. Let the garden’s beauty guide your hand as you draw shadows in real time, connecting deeply with the moment and your creative flow.
No experience is necessary - all skill levels are welcome! Whether you're a seasoned artist or just looking to bring more creativity into your life, this event is perfect for anyone who loves flowers, art, and slowing down. Don't miss this chance to reconnect with nature, tap into your creativity, and enjoy a peaceful afternoon with community. See you there!
Space is limited, and RSVP is required to attend. We'd love to hold a spot just for you!

Lurie Garden (located in Millennium Park) was designed to combine naturalistic plantings and ecologically sensitive maintenance practices to create an urban oasis for city dwellers and wildlife alike.
