About this Event
In this workshop we will learn some of the possible ways we can apply our oil pastels on a textured paper/canvas. For this, I'll make a short demonstration on my camera, we will see some artworks as examples. Afterwards, I will share some reference images so that you choose one to work from and do your own version.
For this class, if you want, we can use some solvent to dilute/blend the pastels, you can have a small quantity of turpentine or linseed oil if your pastels are oil based or some clean water if they are watersoluble pastels (yes! there are some oil pastels that are water soluble). In both cases you need to have some preprepared surface to paint on. You'll get the options of surfaces and tools neede after the check out. It's all simple to get.

WAYS TO DRAW and Paint are a series of art classes online, especially for beginners and anyone who wants to learn different ways of drawing and painting, since there isn't only one, as there isn't only one way to do things in life. In each class we will also be experimenting with different media: (i.e. graphite, colored pencils , pastels, charcoal, ball and fountain pens, markers, gouache, acrylics, etc.)
The classes are in English but some Spanish language can be spoken.
