This 4-week studio-style class is designed for young artists ages 8+ who are ready to spend time developing a single, meaningful work of art from start to finish. Students will work toward completing a final masterpiece that reflects their ideas, creativity, and dedication.Throughout the session, students will explore color theory, drawing from reference, and multiple art mediums including colored pencil, marker, and acrylic paint. Each class will begin with guided instruction and practice exercises, followed by extended independent work time. During this studio time, the instructor will circulate to provide individual feedback, encouragement, and problem-solving support tailored to each student.
The goal of this class is not speed, but thoughtful, well-finished artwork. Students will learn how to plan a piece, make creative decisions, revise their work, and stick with a project over multiple weeks. Artists who finish early will be encouraged to create additional pieces using a different medium.
The session concludes with a mini art showcase, giving students the opportunity to celebrate their finished work and the creative process behind it.
This class is a great fit for students who enjoy working independently, want to build confidence in their skills, and are ready to take their art to the next level.
This class is instructed by Hanna.
All materials and an apron will be provided by the Art Factory, but please dress for mess!
