A popular activity for fashionable women in the Victorian Era was pressing and mounting seaweeds into decorative scrapbooks. Come learn a little about historic naturalist practices and try your hand at this unique art form with local naturalist and artist Allison Donohue. You’ll do some warm up sketches and composition studies of local Maine algae, and then create your own Victorian-style seaweed mount! All materials will be provided. This program is free and open to the public, but registration is required: https://www.yorklandtrust.org/event/drawing-and-mounting-seaweeds/
