Art is a tool that changes how children see themselves. Each young artist will name a problem, and then draw themselves as the hero that can fix it. To demonstrate, Gene will ask the class to pick a problem and for ideas about how that hero solves the problem.
Gene Ha is the writer and artist of the graphic novel ???: ??? ?????????? ??????? from Oni Press. He has won five Eisners, the highest award in American comics, for his art on titles like ?????? ????? ????????: ??? ??????? with writer Kelly Sue DeConnick, and ??? 10 with writer Alan Moore. Registration fee includes materials for art project that participants will take home, plus admission to the Alex Ross: Heroes and Villains ticketed exhibition.
Program will take place in the North Shore Gas Education Classroom.
