About this Event
Draw the ancient classical muse goddesses that inspired our modern-day museums and the iconic modern muses who inspired artists and designers. This workshop combines life drawing with fantasy illustration - using pencil, pastel & charcoal.
This Sunday morning workshop, takes place the weekend of at the unique setting of the 12th century Marlipins Museum in Shoreham-by-Sea, with its inspiring collection of historic artefacts and objects.
This workshop is suitable for adults and students (16+) and anyone interested in illustration, drawing, and fantasy art. Some previous drawing experience will be helpful. Materials provided - bring an apron, a soft drink and a snack.
The Marlipins Museum is very easy to reach on the bus routes 700, 2, 9, 60, 19 from Brighton & Hove, Worthing, and direct trains from London and Litttlehampton. Parking facilities nearby.
Workshop Artist
Leading the workshop is professional illustrator Lois Pawson - who is currently researching the story of muses for an exhibition in London at the Art Workers Guild later this year.
