Are you renting in a draughty home in the City of Yarra?
Get ready for winter with this free draughtproofing workshop. Learn simple, do-it-yourself, rental-friendly ways to seal up gaps around windows and doors to make your home more comfortable in cold weather.
Learn about your rights as a renter to make your home more comfortable and energy efficient.
Participants will take home a free draughtproofing kit to install at home.
This workshop will be held in English with interpreter support in Vietnamese and Mandarin. Please let us know if you need support in another language and we may be able to provide this.
Places are limited; bookings essential.
This is one of a series of draughtproofing workshops for renters hosted by Yarra City Council in May-June. Three of the workshops will have interpreter support:
- Monday 13 May, 1:30-3pm at Carlton Neighbourhood Learning Centre – in English with interpreter support in Mandarin, Vietnamese, and Arabic
- Thursday 16 May, 1-2:30pm at Holden Street Neighbourhood House – English only
- Friday 21 June, 10-11:30am at Belgium Avenue Neighbourhood House – in English with interpreter support in Mandarin, Vietnamese
The content for each workshop will be the same. Please choose the one that suits you. If you need language support in another language, please get in touch and we'll try to support you in your language.
Please note this workshop is only open to renters living in the City of Yarra.
