The action goes back and forth in time, is peppered with odd or frightening dreams and depicts Cicero's concern about social/political failure and the welfare and loss of his beloved daughter.

A Relationship in Ten Scenes Between Ten People. A 20 something year old woman and man meet in a bookstore. As their relationship grows, they change individually. In each scene one of the characters' names has changed to a variation of the original as they get closer before they ultimately fall apart. The play ends in a bookstore with a new pairing of the characters meeting.

Joanne’s marriage to Ken has been tested by his dementia. When Ken wants to marry the ‘strange woman’ living in his house, Joanne agrees to the ‘story’ because her family and friends are pushing her, but her ambivalence is destroying her.
