In March our moot will be visited by our first GUEST SPEAKER of the year - Isobel Ann, who will be giving us an introductory talk on Hoodoo and Voodoo.We'll look at what the magical practice of Hoodoo is compared to the Hollywood stereotypes, and compare it to the religions of Voodoo.
There will be a variety of magical working items, tools, books and ritual items to look at and discuss, including more traditionally made mojo hands, initiatory jewellery, living spirit dolls, etc.
This will be quite a full discussion with plenty of time to cover the pantheon of gods, folk magic practices, the history of Hoodoo and the importance of ancestral work. Hopefully, this will include a typical altar setup for all ancestral working/honouring.
