Hear about the stories and myths connected with the ‘Drake Stone’ and the castle that dominates the area. This Boxing Day walk leaves the Forestry car park and heads south-west through the wood to the Drake Stone and on to Harbottle Lake and then along the road towards Alwinton. Before the church we turn right off the road towards the Lime Kiln and Park House. Here we will be treated to wonderful views back towards Drake Stone and Harbottle Castle. We then take the footbridge and continue through Harbottle Village back to the car park.Start time: 11.00am
