Spaces are limited and it's a popular hike on Saturdays. Please allow extra time in advance.(No cell service in this area)
🚐Option B. Parking lot of “Catawba Sustainabilty Center”
Please park your car here before 8:20 a.m. A Latinas Network truck will give you a ride to the starting point of the hike at 8:20 am. If this option works for you, please confirm it via WhatsApp to7574724431 before April 10th. (Very weak service in this area)

GENERAL HIKE DATA
🥾Distance: ~7.40 km (4.6 miles) out and back hike.
📈Difficulty: Moderate to difficult.
⏱️Estimated hike time: 5 hours.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION OF THE TRAIL
🔹 First section (0-1 mile): Moderate. Well-defined wooded trails, steep uphill.
🔹 Middle section (1-1.5 miles): Steady, steep climb. Steps formed by roots.
🔹 Final section (final 0.5 miles): Rock scramble section (use of hands). Large boulders.

✅ Backpack with 2 liters of water (electrolytes)
✅ snacks and 1 meal
✅ Optional: bug spray, hat/sunglasses, trekking poles.
