About this Event
After months of hard work through the Young Innovators Inverclyde programme (delivered with partners including Kibble and local schools), young people from St. Stephen’s High School will pitch bold ideas designed to strengthen our communities and create new local opportunities.
We’re inviting:
- Dragons (panel members): business, third sector and social enterprise leaders to offer supportive challenge and constructive feedback
- Audience attendees: community members, educators, families and supporters to cheer them on.
Book your place now - as a Dragon or an attendee.
Background
The Young Innovators course was developed to build social entrepreneurial skills in Inverclyde empowering young people to create solutions that matter and potentially establish new social enterprises within our community.
The programme connects schools with social enterprises, encouraging young people to view the Third Sector as a positive destination and an exciting employment pathway.
At a time when Inverclyde has around 2,000 fewer jobs than in previous years, and many young people wish to move directly into employment rather than further education, we believe there must be another route, one where young people can begin to create their own opportunities.
We were delighted to deliver this programme in partnership with Kibble, who promote and facilitate SCQF Level 4 units in Enterprise, Employability and Tenancy as part of the course. Sign up today as an attendee or Dragon, and help us showcase and support the Young Innovators of Inverclyde.
