DAY 1: Trim Clinic $200On this day we will go over how to do a DIY basic trim for your average barefoot horse, hoof anatomy need to knows, body positions, safety, tools and equipment. New rasps (will be yours to keep), chaps, nippers, and stands are provided however you can bring your own if you have any you plan to use or need evaluated. Horses will also be provided, however it is encouraged that you bring your own if possible. Horse must load, lead, tie quietly, pick up feet and stand for foot work amicably enough for you. Lots of bending/squatting and some lifting.
DAY 2: Training for the farrier $75
This day we will go over how to start preparing your mustang, young or green horses for the farrier. This revolves around setting your horse and your farrier (or you), up for success. Setting your mustang or green horse up for life with people, being able to be trimmed and doctored. Horses can be provided, you are encouraged to bring your own. Horse must lead quietly and load.
You are not required to attend both. A portion of these proceeds will be donated to Forever Branded a 501(c)3 non profit organization whose mission is to create and foster community through education, engagement, and adoption of our Country's wild horses.
This is our first ever clinic at our facility, there is limited space, slots are limited to 3 both days, day 2 auditors are welcome however limited to 5 at 20 dollars byoc.
