8:00 PM - Intro to Swing Lesson $10 (no experience or partner necessary!)

9:00 PM - DJed music and social dancing starts

10:00 PM - Welcome Jam and Shim Sham line dance Let the DJ booth know what you're celebrating or where you're from so we can give you a proper welcome!

10:00PM Onwards- We'll keep the music and dancing going all night long so you'll have plenty of time to practice, dance, socialize, make new friends, and shake off all your worries from the week.

Swing Dance Vegas has been bringing the rhythm every Friday night since 2005. We hope to see you out there on the dance floor!

Dance history: Jazz, Lindyhop, and Swing dance is an African Diasporic art. It developed alongside Jazz music of the 1900s and is still alive and thriving today!

Info: Perfect for anyone looking to start their swing dance journey. You will learn the basic steps of Lindyhop, how to feel that rhythm with a partner, and a couple of turns to get you feeling the music!

Info: One of our amazing Swing Dance Vegas Dj's will start the night of dancing with a fun selection of music at a mix of tempos, including slower songs perfect for beginners to practice and enjoy!

Info: Celebrating a birthday or visiting from out of town? Let us know when you arrive or when we ask at 10pm! We’d love to celebrate with you during a special dance jam. You’ll be invited to the center of the floor to dance with as many of us as possible in one song—it’s fun, lively, and a little wild, just like our community!

Info: The Shim Sham is a classic swing dance line dance. It might look a little tricky but don’t let that stop you! The steps are simple and repetitive, and everyone’s welcome to join in, no matter your experience level. Sure, you might miss a step or two (we all do!), but that’s part of the charm. It’s less about perfection and more about being part of the fun!

Info: Our "Main Event" DJ will take over to keep you grooving. Most of our dancers will arrive around 10pm, meaning this is the time of the night the floor really picks up. As more dancers arrive, the more fun it gets since you’ll have even more people to dance with!

Info: Our "Party Set" DJ will be closing the night out for us. We usually keep the dancing going until 12am or 12:30am. We will be playing music as long as people keep dancing! Stick around as the DJ may invite you to participate in "All Request Power Hour" a treat that is special to Swing Dance Vegas. There is only one rule: you must dance to the song that you request. This is when we really let loose and anything goes!
