Dragomedy: a drag and stand-up comedy fundraising show
Host: Chloe Liberty
Info: I am the host for the show which is presented by North Flora Collective who has graciously allowed us to do this comedy and Drag show combination fundraising show to raise money for sports ability alliance. Sports ability alliance. 15 years ago, on August 28, 2010 I became paralyzed from the neck down because of spinal cord injury that happened from doing a backflip while drunk. I started off from a powered wheelchair using my mouth to control it, I had to relearn how to walk, bathe myself, feed myself, etc. As a person with a spinal cord injury myself, I know the struggles of what it’s like being disabled and what it takes to get through it. I am now currently walking with some muscle weakness. Over the years I’ve been given so much help and this year I am turning 40 years old and I want to give back by doing a comedy and Drag fundraising show for sports ability alliance who help people with all sorts of disabilities both kids and adults adapt to be able to do outside activities.
