Our mission is to foster a supportive and empowering community for women in science.


This seminar is designed to support and inspire students pursuing careers in science. Join us for an inspiring conversation with Dr. Lisa Robinson, Dean of the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, as she shares insights from her journey in research and medicine, including the challenges, triumphs, and lessons learned in leadership along the way.


In this seminar, we aim to spark thoughtful conversation around the challenges of women in science. We’ll explore how students can advocate for themselves and others in academic and professional settings—equipping future leaders with the confidence, strategies, and support to foster lasting change. Together, we’ll celebrate progress, confront barriers, and build a more inclusive scientific community.


By fostering collaboration and allyship, Toronto Women in Science Talks (TWIST) is committed to transforming how institutions approach diversity, equity, and inclusion—paving the way for a more equitable future for all.
