Dr. Michael White's Original Liberty Jazz BandDr. Michael White is a renowned clarinetist, bandleader, composer, historian, and educator regarded as a leading authority of traditional New Orleans jazz. In 2015 he produced and performed on New Orleans Brass Bands: Through the Streets of the City for the Smithsonian Institution and has served as a guest director for Jazz at Lincoln Center . Formerly a senior professor of African American music at Xavier University of Louisiana, White has toured internationally for more than three decades and recorded with Wynton Marsalis, Eric Clapton, Taj Mahal, Paul Simon, and Marianne Faithfull. He was named Chevalier of Arts & Letters by the French government (1995), received the Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts (2008), was honored as Humanist of the Year by the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities (2010), and was repeatedly recognized as Clarinetist of the Year by OffBeat Magazine. We do offer cheese and charcuterie tray options. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only the charcuterie, cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime. Due to our intimate venues limited seating capacity, advance tickets are strongly suggested in order to guarantee seats for this acclaimed show!

This event is 13 and over. Any ticket holder unable to present valid identification indicating that they are at least 13 years of age will not be admitted to this event, and will not be eligible for a refund. All concert ticket sales are final and non-refundable. All patrons must have valid government-issued Photo ID available upon entry. All teenage patrons must be ticketed like adults, and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while inside the jazz club. All patrons must be aged 13 or older. Sorry, no children under 13 are permitted. Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro has a STRICT No Cell Phones, No Cameras Policy at all times during all showtimes inside the music room. Violation of this policy while inside the venue may result in removal from the club without ticket refunds. There is NO SMOKING allowed anywhere inside the building, and there are NO PETS ALLOWED at anytime. *Legitimate Service Dogs must be wearing full credentials at all times upon entry, and owner must have licensing papers available upon staff request for service dogs.
