About this Event

Ngā Ara Whetū: Centre for Climate, Biodiversity and Society is delighted to welcome Dr Lauren Speeth to the University of Auckland for her first visit. Dr Speeth will speak on social entrepreneurship, leadership, environmental education, and why these areas matter for students around the world.

Drawing on guidance from the late 39th U.S. President, Jimmy Carter, Dr Speeth will explore core principles of social entrepreneurship, including vision, specialised skills, non‑duplication, partnership, credit sharing, feedback, and staying power. She will discuss how to build a framework for success, sharing practical examples from her work in Jordan and Brazil.
