EVENT INFORMATION

Miami Avenue is a prominent and highly trafficked street in the heart of Downtown Venice, Florida, making it an exceptional setting for our craft festival. Surrounded by popular retail destinations and outstanding dining options, the area draws both local residents and visiting tourists. Its prime downtown location ensures excellent exposure and visibility for participating artists and vendors.

Public Admission: Free

Parking: Daytime parking available for RVs and standard vehicles

Show Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Set-Up: Saturday

Promotion:

American Craft Endeavors is known for attracting a high-end buying audience. Promotion for the Downtown Venice Craft Festival includes advertising through the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, WLTQ FM, Venice Gondolier, Venice Weekly, and Comcast Cable.

ABOUT AMERICAN CRAFT ENDEAVORS

For more than 40 years, American Craft Endeavors has been one of Florida’s premier producers of street craft festivals. By combining iconic downtown locations, strong marketing strategies, and a high caliber of artisans, American Craft Endeavors events consistently deliver exceptional experiences for both artists and patrons.


PRINT POLICY

A limited number of offset prints, giclées, and reproduced works are permitted. All reproductions must be clearly labeled as such.


CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations must be submitted in writing at least 30 days prior to the event.

Artists who cancel with proper notice will receive a show credit valid for two years toward a future American Craft Endeavors event.

Application fees are non-refundable.

Cancellations within 30 days of the show are responsible for the full booth balance and will not receive a credit.

Refunds are issued only if American Craft Endeavors cancels a show with ample notice. No refunds or credits will be issued for weather-related or force-of-nature cancellations once logistical and advertising arrangements have been made. Outstanding balances must be paid in full before participating in future American Craft Endeavors events.


EXHIBITOR STANDARDS

All artwork must be original, handcrafted, and created by the approved artist.

Collaborative work is limited to two artists only.

Teams, companies, imported goods, kits, or mass-produced items are prohibited.

The accepted artist must be present throughout the event.

Booth sharing or subletting is not permitted.

Only one approved medium per booth is allowed.

Images submitted must accurately reflect the artwork and booth setup used at the event.

Any unapproved medium appearing in a booth will be required to be removed.


NO SOLICITATION POLICY

Exhibitors are present for the purpose of representing and selling their own approved work only. Solicitation of unrelated products, supplies, services, outside events, or business activities is strictly prohibited and may result in removal from the show.


LIABILITY INSURANCE

Exhibitors selling food for human or pet consumption and exhibitors selling products applied to the skin are required to carry a one million dollar product liability insurance policy. The policy must name Howard Alan Events, Inc. and American Craft Endeavors as additionally insured and be on file prior to event participation.


TAX RESPONSIBILITY

Each exhibitor is responsible for collecting applicable state sales tax and filing reports with the appropriate Department of Revenue.


SHOW INFORMATION PACKET

Once accepted and payment has been received, exhibitors will receive a confirmation email containing all event details. Set-up and breakdown schedules will be strictly enforced.


AI USAGE POLICY FOR EXHIBITING ARTISTS

Artificial Intelligence may be used only for inspiration and idea development. All exhibited work must be original and handcrafted by the artist. Artwork generated primarily or entirely by AI is not eligible for exhibition. Any AI use must be disclosed during the application process. Digital artists may be required to submit proof of creation.


BOOTH DISPLAY GUIDELINES

Booth displays must be professional, cohesive, and gallery-quality.

All tents must be white and constructed of flame-retardant materials.

Handwritten signs, sale signs, and award ribbons from other shows are prohibited.

Exhibitors must provide 40 lb. weights per tent leg.

Ground staking is not permitted.

All display materials and inventory must remain within the assigned booth space.

Booth spaces must be left clean after breakdown.

Any booth display changes must be resubmitted for approval prior to the festival.


REFUND POLICY

Refunds are not issued for exhibitor cancellations. A credit valid for two years will be issued if written cancellation notice is received at least 30 days prior to the event. Credits may be applied only toward American Craft Endeavors booth fees and expire after two years.

There are no rain dates. No refunds or credits will be issued if a show is cancelled due to weather or other forces of nature once event logistics and advertising have been finalized.


JURY DETAILS

Average number of applications received annually: 120

Average number of artists selected: 100

Average number of exempt jury artists invited: 0

Returning artists may be selected by on-site jury, peer jurors, or the show director or board.
