Ready to swap the pavement for the pier? Freedom Sailing invites you to join our veteran sailing series in the heart of downtown Wilmington. Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or have never stepped foot on a boat, this is your chance to catch the wind, learn the ropes, and connect with a community that speaks your language.

There’s something about being on the water that clears the head. We keep things relaxed, safe, and—most importantly—fun.

• The Experience: A guided sailing excursion on the Cape Fear River. You can help man the sails or just sit back and enjoy the view.
• The Vibe: Low pressure, high energy. No prior experience is required.
• The Crew: You’ll be sailing with fellow veterans and experienced Captain from Project SOAR.
• Location: Public docks (Downtown Wilmington), Near Hotel Ballast
• What to Wear: Non-marking rubber-soled shoes (sneakers are great), sunblock and layers.
• Cost: Free for veterans
