Downtown at Dusk Catch Up

Join us for Downtown at Dusk, our second meetup of the season!
We’ll gather as the city shifts from golden hour to twilight, that magical time when lights flicker on, reflections shimmer across the harbour, and Auckland reveals its evening character.

• A friendly, supportive group of photographers of all levels
• Opportunities to shoot a mix of urban, architectural, street and night photography
• Space to experiment with light, shadow, composition, and storytelling
• A chance to share your shots and chat with others over coffee afterwards*

• The glow of the Sky Tower lighting up against the dusk sky
• Reflections and colours along Viaduct Harbour and Silo Park
• People and street life as the city transitions from day to night
• The industrial shapes and lights of Wynyard Crossing and the silos
• Experiment with long exposures, bokeh, and low-light composition

• Your camera or smartphone
• A tripod (handy for long exposures, but not essential)
• Comfortable walking shoes
• Curiosity and an open mind — this is all about exploring and having fun!

Free to join. Open to everyone.

• Let’s wander, shoot, and celebrate one of Auckland’s most photogenic neighbourhoods together.
• We’ll wrap up around 9:30PM, and for those keen to keep chatting, grab a drink or dessert nearby to share shots and ideas.
