A musical tribute to the Bollywood Villains who contributed to Bollywood cinema. The villains of Bollywood are iconic characters who have significantly impacted Indian cinema through their compelling performances and memorable portrayals. Their presence in the movies gave rise to wonderful memorable songs and they were picturised on them. Their dialogues are being quoted and referenced for decades, cementing their legacy in Indian cinema.
Some of the most iconic Bollywood villains include Pran, Amjad Khan, Amrish Puri, Danny Denzongpa, Sanjay Dutt, and more. They are remembered for their powerful performances that defined evil on silver screen and added depth to the films they were in. A new generation of actors has continued the tradition with both frightening and complex antagonists who range from terrifying and sadistic to subtly manipulative ones, leaving a mark on the audience.
Behind every super hero is a super villain; and the villains in cinema add crucial conflict and drama, making them essential to a film. Their presence often defines the hero's journey and elevates the stakes of the story. Portrayal of villains has evolved, with some classic villains being purely menacing, while later antagonists, added complexity and depth, sometimes even making the audience sympathize with their motivations.
The event is being presented by the singing sensation Priya Karthik née Mahadevan – once a singing sensation in Mumbai, but now based in Bengaluru. Accompanying her are the established singers – Aishwarya Kasinathan, Aniket, Yaseen, and Niyazuddin with music arrangement by Senthil Kumar.
