It's Hispanic Heritage Month
and that means its time to get ready for the annual TX Flamenco Festival.
Scour your closet for Spanish themed items. Polka dots, flower prints, bias cut ruffles, embroidery and fringe are the order of the day. All styles welcome, but we are looking for these motifs!!!
Join us @ La Cantera for a fun day of shopping, chatting, trading and reimagining ourselves through our wardrobe.
Sunday October 5th:
2-5 pm for:
fashion, food, libations and music : Down For Local Clothing Swap DFW.
Millions secondhand items, thousands tons of discarded garments arrive annually, 40 thousand tons ending up in landlfills. The textile industry uses 800,000 tons of synthetic dyes every year which is polluting waterways and harming textile factory workers.
Save our beautiful planet by reusing and repurposing items like clothing are crucial to this movement.
Our monthly unisex clothing swap is next month!!
Clothing swaps are a community powered tool to ethically update your wardrobe.
Here are the guidelines on how to participate:
Make sure to bring items that are QUALITY over QUANTITY.
This means
- no low quality t-shirts
- nothing ripped or stained
Bring a charged social battery to meet new people, and a bag to take your new clothes home in!
We arrange clothes NOT by size, but by category of clothing, so bring clothes for all occasions and all types of weather!
We are accepting clothes, shoes, bags, and any other accessories.
Bring a friend, spread the news, and most importantly, SWAP DONT SHOP!
