Known for his intricate harmonies and emotive storytelling, Thompson Egbo-Egbo is a renowned pianist and composer whose music seamlessly bridges jazz tradition with modern influences. Accompanied by Randall Hall on bass and Jeff Halischuk on drums, the trio delivers a powerful performance that has been attracting growing audiences across North America. This special appearance marks the Egbo Trio’s Quebec debut.
9:30PM – THOMPSON EGBO-EGBO TRIO feat. SOA (vocals)
Following the instrumental set, vocalist SOA (Chrystelle Maechler) takes the stage with the Thompson Egbo-Egbo Trio with a set journeying from groovy to airy jazz, blending original compositions with rearranged covers spanning different music eras. Egbo-Egbo and SOA have been performing together since 2016, with their musical partnership culminating in SOA’s EP “Influences”.
