About this Event
About the organization:
The Animals·Nature·Futures Film Festival (ANFFF) is a nomadic annual event by International Nature Bond CIC (UK), dedicated to showcasing powerful stories about animals, nature, and the future. It creates a platform where creativity, dialogue, and innovation meet to inspire positive change.
About the event:
Aspis (Italy, 14’) follows a viper awakening from hibernation, filmed across the seasons in imagery that fuses natural rhythms with transcendental symbolism. Evocative and elegiac, it meditates on cycles of life and the shifting awareness of our changing world. Paired with We Live Here (Kazakhstan, 80’), an intimate portrait of three generations living in the shadow of Soviet nuclear testing, the double bill moves between poetic observation and historical trauma. Together, these works explore the imprints left on land and body, asking how we live with wounds that refuse to fade. The programme highlights cinema’s power to hold space for both mourning and renewal, turning landscapes into archives of collective memory.
