Phat Tire Bike Shop is excited to announce that The Double Barrel Gravel Ride is Back for 2022!It is still Free.
It still covers some of the most beautiful gravel roads in NWA and SW Missouri.
It still has 3 route options: 71, 31, and 15
AND there will still be plenty of beer, jambalaya, crawfish boil, live music, skeet shooting and cycling fellowship afterwards.
Now that we have assured you that this event will be just as amazing as years’ past. Let’s get the details.
Date: Saturday May 14, 2022
Schedule:
8:00 am: 71 Mile Riders Meeting and Start
1:00 pm: 31 Mile Riders’ Meeting and Start
1:00 pm: 15 Mile Riders’ Meeting and Start
3:30 pm: Party Starts
71 and 31 mile course will not be marked. The 15 mile course will be marked. GPS course routes are provided. Aid stations are provided.
Start & Finish is at the Benton County Quail Barn. The routes are chunky gravel roads. The 71 mile option has approximately 5K in climbing.
There are a limited number of camp sites available. Purchase on Bike Reg.
As in year’s past, Double Barrel is also a Poker Ride. Don’t forget to collect cards at the Aid Stations. You can earn bonus cards by blasting clay pigeons on a professional trap shooting field upon your return. The best poker hands win the cool prizes.
Party starts at 3:30 pm. We will shoot skeet, listen to live music, eat tons of jambalaya & crawfish boil, and drink a few pints of local beer.
Things to bring:
• Bike, helmet and cycling clothes
• Change of clothes for post-ride festivities
• All the friends you can muster
• No need to bring guns or ammo as those are provided for free
• Bikes with a 35mm or wider tires are recommended.
