Join us for DOSE Fest, a joyful community wellbeing festival taking place on Saturday 18th July 2026, 10am–7pm, in Chelmsford.Created by The Happiness Equation CIC, a not-for-profit organisation, DOSE Fest has been designed to help people reconnect with what makes them feel happier, healthier and more alive.
DOSE is an acronym and stands for the four happy hormones: Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin and Endorphins. It is also a gentle play on the clinical word “dose” — because sometimes what we need is not only medical support, but also more connection, creativity, movement, nature, laughter, purpose and joy.
Across the day, you can expect a vibrant mix of:

✨ Family-friendly experiences
✨ Community stalls and local organisations
✨ Music, performance and entertainment
✨ Health and wellbeing conversations
✨ Food, connection and joyful moments
✨ Opportunities to discover your own “DOSE” of happiness
The festival will be shaped around our DOSE zones, all centred around The Equation Stage, which will host a back-to-back line-up of performances throughout the day:
💛 Dopamine Lab – creativity, curiosity, play and positive challenge
💗 Oxytocin Hut – connection, kindness, community and belonging
💚 Serotonin Studio – nature, movement, mindfulness and mood-boosting activities
🧡 Endorphin Arena – energy, laughter, movement and feel-good fun
💙 Men’s Hub – a welcoming space for men’s wellbeing, connection, conversation and community
Families will also be able to take part in our DOSE Fest Children’s Trail, a fun and interactive journey through the zones, helping children explore happiness, movement, creativity, nature and connection in an age-appropriate way. Children who complete the trail will be able to collect a certificate and small reward on completion.
DOSE Fest is for individuals, families, children, young people, adults, community groups, local organisations and anyone who believes that wellbeing should feel accessible, inclusive and human.
This is more than a one-day festival. DOSE Fest is the beginning of a wider movement to build happier, healthier and more connected communities across Essex - one DOSE at a time.
