About this Event
Toddlers experience big emotions but don’t yet have the skills to calm themselves. This interactive caregiver-and-child workshop is designed to help families learn simple, play-based tools for emotional regulation and connection.
Through guided activities such as movement, breathing, and emotion games, caregivers will learn how to support their child during moments of frustration, tantrums, and transitions. Children will practice naming feelings, calming their bodies, and feeling safe with their caregiver by their side.
This workshop offers a supportive, judgment-free space for caregivers and toddlers (ages 2–4) to learn together, build connection, and take home practical tools they can use in everyday life.
What You’ll Take Home
Caregivers will leave with:
- Simple strategies to help toddlers calm their bodies and express emotions
- Play-based tools for managing tantrums and transitions
- Language to support emotional awareness (“I see you’re upset…”)
- Activities that can be practiced at home
- A deeper understanding of toddler emotional development

During the workshop, families will participate in activities such as:
- Bubble breathing for calming the body
- Emotion games using faces and movement
- Gentle parent-child calming exercises
- Music and movement regulation games
- Play-based connection activities
All activities are developmentally appropriate and designed for toddlers ages 2–4.
About the Facilitator
Anelys Perez is a Mental Health Counselor with experience supporting children and families in building emotional regulation skills through play, connection, and attachment-based approaches. She is passionate about helping caregivers feel confident and supported while nurturing their child’s emotional growth.
