Do you find it hard to imagine a better future? Or maybe you’re a master at it? No matter what, we invite you and your family, friends, colleagues and more to join us
for a night where we explore boundaries. The Earth's boundaries as well as our own boundaries.
????? + ????????/???? ?????? = ??????
We'll begin by watching the documentary 'Breaking Boundaries' from 2021, wherein David Attenborough and scientist Johan Rockström examine Earth's biodiversity collapse and how this crisis can still be averted.
In a time of growing polarization and the lack of political vision it seems as if the only thing we can agree upon is that the future will be worse than now. The list of crisisses is long BUT our history is bountiful of examples of visionary and engaged people that collectively has changed society, fast, dramatically and unexpectedly. Sometimes our imagination just needs a friendly little nudge in the right direction. Inspired by among others Rob Hopkins from the Transitions Towns Movement - this night, Jacob Rask, the initiator of the alliance Copenhagen Doughnut, will create a time machine where we'll visit the year 2030 together, where we are already well into the transition and have cut our pressure on the planetary in to half of what it is today.
By the end of the evening, we'll return to 2024, and meet people that are already working with the green transition in Amager.
This night is extra special as we'll be part of the international festival 'Global Donut Days' that is being celebrated all over the World from the 6th until the 9th of November by exploring the British economist Kate Raworth's doughnut economy in many different ways. This years' theme is local action, global connection, which is exactly what we'll do on this evening.
