This class may be for you! The class will cover the basics of traditional map and compass orienteering in the classroom, then a series of presenters will provide information on emergency satellite communication devices (such as Garmins), mapping apps available for smartphones (such as Gaia), as well as using Garmin devices to create a track. We will spend the later afternoon practicing new skills on the arboretum grounds. We will have a short lunch break, bring a sack lunch and beverage.
