Šių atlikėjų bendrystė turi gilesnes šaknis, nei gali pasirodyti iš pirmo žvilgsnio. Dar prieš šviesas, ekranus bei daugiatūkstantinę publiką buvo gospelo muzika – nuo jo prasidėjo tai, kuo žavimės šiandien.
Donatas drebina arenas aukštos įtampos, vaizduotę pralenkiančiais pasirodymais. „Vilnius Voices“ išsiskiria balsų architektūra, skambesio skaidrumu ir darna. Jis įpratęs būti dėmesio centre. Jie – kurti bendrą harmoniją. Šiame koncerte skirtumai tampa pranašumu – susitikimu, kuriame svarbiausias klausimas - ne „kas“, o „kaip“ skambės.
„Savo kelią į sceną pradėjęs nuo gospelo muzikos iki šiol jaučiu, kiek daug joje tikrumo ir jėgos. Programoje skambės man ypatingas kūrinys „Oh Happy Day“, primenantis, kodėl pasirinkau muziką. Greta jo – ir mano autorinės dainos, tačiau jos atsivers kitaip. Su Vilnius Voices ieškojome ne garsesnio, o stipresnio skambesio – tokio, kuris gimsta iš pasitikėjimo, bendros energijos“, – sako Donatas.
Šią kūrybinę jungtį sustiprina ir ilgametė pažintis. Kaip prisimena Kristina Žaldokaitė, jų kūrybinis ryšys užsimezgė prieš daugiau nei du dešimtmečius, kartu atliekant gospelo kūrinius: „Nuo pirmųjų garsų buvo aišku, kad mums pakeliui. Taip prasidėjusi draugystė tęsiasi iki šiol – o „Oh Happy Day“ bendruose pasirodymuose skamba galingiau nei bet kada“.

The connection between these artists runs deeper than it may seem at first glance. Long before the lights, the screens and the large audiences, there was gospel music – where it all began.
Donatas is known for his high-energy stage presence and powerful performances. Vilnius Voices are distinguished by their vocal precision, clarity of sound and unity. He is used to standing at the centre. They are devoted to creating a shared harmony.
In this concert, these differences become a strength – a meeting where the question is not what will be performed, but how it will resonate.
“I started my journey in music with gospel, and to this day I feel how much truth and strength it carries. The programme will include a very special piece for me – Oh Happy Day, which reminds me why I chose music in the first place. Alongside it, I will perform my original songs – from the earliest to the most recent – but they will unfold differently. Together with Vilnius Voices, we were not searching for a louder sound, but for a stronger one – something that grows from trust and shared energy,” says Donatas.
This artistic connection is also rooted in a long-standing relationship. As Kristina Žaldokaitė recalls, their collaboration began more than two decades ago while performing gospel music together: “From the very first notes, it was clear that we were musically in sync.” That connection continues to this day – and Oh Happy Day has only grown more powerful in their shared performances.
