About this Event
Many professionals work hard and still feel overlooked, exhausted, or undervalued—not because they lack skill or commitment, but because their effort is misaligned with how value is actually assigned at work.
This 2-hour workshop uses a simple but powerful metaphor—the “dirty bathroom”—to examine why some effort is noticed and rewarded while other effort quietly disappears, regardless of quality or intention.
Grounded in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and real workplace dynamics, Don’t Clean the Dirty Bathroom helps participants understand how organizations signal priorities, how leaders define value, and why unrequested or misaligned work often becomes invisible.
Participants will learn how to identify where their effort is currently being wasted, how to evaluate whether work will be seen or used, and how to redirect energy toward outcomes that actually matter—without disengaging, cutting corners, or compromising professionalism.
This is not about doing less work.
It’s about doing the right work—intentionally.
Participants leave with a practical decision framework they can apply immediately to reduce frustration, protect their energy, and improve alignment at work.
This workshop is educational and focused on organizational behavior and professional decision-making. It is not therapy or mental health treatment.
