Dom’s Wish Aughris 5K fun run/walk returns for a third year in memory of Dominic Keenehan on Saturday, 11 July 2026.The 5km looped route with 25m elevation showcases the stunning scenery of Aughris Head, with breathtaking views of Benbulben, Knocknarea, the Ox Mountains, and the Atlantic Ocean, before finishing at The Beach Bar overlooking Aughris Beach.
The chip-timed event is open to runners and walkers of all abilities.
After the run, there will be a family fun day at the Beach Bar with an outdoor concert all day, BBQ, face-painting, ice-cream and food vans.
This event is hosted by our local community group, Templeboy Aughris Rural Action. Funds raised will be put back in to the community for the further development and enhancement of the local area.
