Holler calls Dominique and the Diamonds, “A deeply satisfying set of instant country classics that tips its hat to the rattling amphetamine fueled cosmic country of Gram Parsons and the Fallen Angels, the dramatic, sweeping countrypolitan of Patsy Cline, and the women of ‘70s FM radio.” From late-night desert drives to the dusty trails that seem to stretch into eternity, Dominique and the Diamonds capture the rawness of country music that’s as untamed as the California wilderness itself. With a voice, powerful and raw, Colombian-American front woman Dominique Gomez carries the grit of the open range with her often compared tone to the likes of Linda Ronstadt. Along with the band’s affinity for The Flying Burrito Brothers and 70s acts alike, Dominique and the Diamonds blend the right amount of contemporary feel to the vintage soul of classic country music. Produced by Glenn Brigman (Triptides) in his mountain home studio, the band’s self titled, debut EP was recorded using a mixture of analog and digital equipment amongst the forest of Crestline, CA. The record rings true to traditional country music exploring tinges of romance, lonesomeness, storytelling, revenge and drunken playfulness, all while tying in the experiences of today’s world. With their first full length LP en route for 2026, Dominique and the Diamonds continue to amplify the sound of California country.
