New Orleans-style jazz and early swing favorites from the 20s and 30s will have you digging the music of Louis Armstrong, Sydney Bechet, Duke Ellington, and NOLA's traditional “second line” favorites.
The band is led by trombonist (and Ellington enthusiast) Pete Anderson and includes some of Richmond’s finest swingers: Bob Miller on trumpet, Jason Scott on clarinet/soprano sax, Thomas Wakefield on banjo, Brian Cruse on bass, and Forrest Young on drums. As they say in NOLA, “Let the good times roll!”
Dominion Energy Jazz Café features free performances every Wednesday by some of the area’s best jazz musicians presented in partnership with the Richmond Jazz Society.
