Dominican Independence Party: Dominos, Coffee and Sancocho

Join us to celebrate Dominican Independence Day at Comunidad Specialty Coffee & Cold Press Juice, a Dominican-owned, family-run coffee shop in East Austin built on comunidad, cultura, and good coffee. There’s no better place to celebrate independence than a space created by and for the community.

This is a family-friendly celebration. Pull up for Dominican coffee all day, breakfast sandwiches in the morning, sancocho served in the afternoon, and a domino tournament, bringing everyone together. Expect good vibes, people catching up, dominoes clicking, and culture front and center.

The domino tournament will run from 12pm-5pm, so if you want to participate, make sure you arrive before 12pm to sign up. Spots are limited. The winner will receive a Comunidad gift card, a Greca y más.

This event is about celebrating independence the Dominican way — en coro, with food, coffee, and community.

A: Please arrive early to sign up, as participation is limited.

A: Yes. The winner will receive a gift card and a greca for coffee.

A: No.

A: Yes. All ages are welcome — bring the kids, los padres, y los abuelos.
