Dominance Competitions is excited to be back and providing you with a COVIDSafe competition environment.
You voted and we listened. We have moved all kids and teens comps for 2021 to Sundays. Less clashing with Saturday sport and a 9am start time means less waiting around to compete and earlier finish for those coming from outside of Melbourne.
We are now using Smoothcomp for registrations. When registrations open, you will notice there is one big weight division for each of the belts/ages. This is just an arbritary division. Actual divisions will still be decided on the day once everyone weighs in. Competitors will be bracketed with the closest 4 competitors in weight, to ensure everyone gets at least 4 matches, win or lose.
We also have an awesome venue at our brand new Dominance HQ at 9 Harper St in Abbotsford. More mat space. Better facilities and plenty of parking.

Better competitor match ups
All of our bracketing is done on the day to ensure the best possible match ups. We do not have set weight categories (that often lead to divisions with only 1 or 2 competitors!).
Medals are awarded for 1st and 2nd place.
With a white belt only kids category, our junior competitors will have a great time even if it is their first competition.
FORMAT
The day will be split up with staggered weigh in times for each division. Once all the competitors in that division are weighed in, brackets will be created and displayed on the wall in the gym area under their corresponding mat number. Medals we will be awarded as soon as each bracket within the divisions is complete.
Registrations are limited to 120 competitors and sell out in advance. Be sure to get in early to avoid disappointment.
