About this Event
Using archive films of the changing designs of the city’s housing as inspiration, our ‘domestic dioramas’ family workshop will give you the chance to create your ideal home in miniature. You’ll then be able to add it to a new cityscape that we’ll be installing in the Access Centre on the day.
You’ll be delving into our film archives to explore how Glasgow’s public and domestic spaces have transformed from the city’s industrial past to more modern times. There will be an opportunity to see a screening of a selection of films that explore how planners from the past imagined the city of the future.
The films will run all afternoon so feel free to drop in any time. If you want to take part in the family diorama activities please book one of the four hourly slots.
Materials will be provided for the workshop, but please bring along a small cardboard box or shoe box to make your diorama if you can.
