About this Event
Dog Yard Records and SAD (Anchorage's go-to show promoters) are thrilled to bring a truly special Dog Yard Fest to the legendary Crystal Saloon on Monday, November 13th!
This isn't just a concert; it's an official collaboration with Freakout! Festival, the Seattle-based music festival and record label known for curating some of the most exciting independent and psychedelic artists from around the world. We're proud to be a stop on their highly anticipated Alaska tour, bringing a global showcase directly to you.
Prepare for an explosive night with two groundbreaking bands on their rare Alaska tour dates:
- Ni-Hao!!! from Kyoto, Japan: Described as "cheer punk," this four-woman powerhouse is more than just a band—they are a force of nature. Their music is a joyful and chaotic blend of punk, electronic beats, and a unique, vocal-heavy sound. They've earned international acclaim, with their music being used by global artists like Rosalía and fashion houses like Prada. Seeing them live is a truly mind-bending experience that proves punk is not dead, it's just different.
- Diles Que No Me Maten from CDMX, Mexico: This experimental rock group takes its name from a famous Juan Rulfo story, and their music is just as captivating and layered. Known for their improvisational approach and poetic lyrics, they masterfully blend psychedelic, post-punk, and krautrock influences. They've been a major part of the independent music scene in Mexico City, and their live performances are a hypnotic ritual you won't want to miss.
This is a celebration of global indie music coming to your backyard. Dog Yard Fest, founded as a non-profit backyard show in Anchorage, is all about supporting and showcasing incredible talent and building an all-ages music community. Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of it.
