🐾 ABOUT THIS EVENT 🐾Following recent events and the response from the community, this talk has been created to bring people together, share knowledge, and improve safety around dogs for both owners and the public.
This session will include:
• Why I am doing this and the journey behind it
• Understanding what classifies an out-of-control or dangerous dog
• How to handle and respond to out-of-control dog situations
• How to keep yourself, your dog, or your child safe
• What to do after an incident or attack
• Building confidence again after a negative experience
We will also be joined by others within the field to provide additional insight, including:
• Dog walkers/trainers sharing practical advice
• Input around trauma, confidence, and emotional impact
We will also touch on:
• The current laws around out-of-control dogs and attacks
• The gap between policing, councils, and enforcement
There will be time for open discussion and Q&A, so people can share experiences and ask questions in a safe and supportive environment.
🎥 An online version is also being arranged for those unable to attend in person. This may be recorded from the live event or delivered as a separate online session.
