Doc Rowe has been documenting British Cultural tradition for over sixty years. Using video, film and photography as well as audio, his unique collection of contemporary and historical material on the traditional culture, song and dance of the British Isles and Ireland is well known and now widely recognised.
Doc has bravely agreed to meet interested people to share memories and material he has recorded of many visits to Lewes November 5th Bonfire activities. Dating from the late 70’s, when he lived locally, he was a member of Cliffe and marched as a monk – and thereby hangs a few tales! This will be an opportunity to share Bonfire stories & see pictures of many old friends in the days when they had hair, teeth & waistlines.

The club meets in an upstairs room. There is a handrail on each side of the stairs but no stairlift. Assistance dogs only, please.
